The Aspen Evolution E5 is a versatile digital display system designed to simplify the transition from traditional vacuum gauges to modern electronic displays in aircraft. It serves as a drop-in replacement, delivering advanced functionalities and economical upgrades to incorporate further capabilities and keep pace with future technological developments without necessitating a complete replacement of the current display.
The Evolution E5 presents various flight information, including attitude, altitude, airspeed, and vertical speed, combined into a single display with an integrated backup battery. It also incorporates an attitude heading reference system (ADAHRS) and Global Positioning System Steering (GPSS).
The Evolution E5 further enhances its capability with advanced features. With a simple software upgrade, users can unlock additional functions like True Airspeed, Outside Air Temperature, Winds, and GPS annunciations. Moreover, it supports flexible installation options, approved for IFR and VFR flight conditions, depending on whether it's installed with or without a panel-mounted IFR GPS.

The device is compatible with existing avionics panels and interfaces with most legacy autopilots. It particularly interfaces with the Trio Autopilot (available Summer 2023 and others (optional ACU and EA100 may be required depending on the autopilot type). Furthermore, its unique form-fit design facilitates simple installation by sliding into existing panel cutouts, requiring only one installation process.
