Tempest AA48110-2 Spin-EZ Oil Filter for Grumman Aircraft. 

What’s Tempest’s recommendation for dealing with stuck oil filters? UPGRADE to Tempest’s patent-pending “non-sticking” SPIN EZ™ aircraft engine oil filters at your next filter change. 

Tempest’s SPIN EZ filters are designed to come off easily. Heat, time, and pressure can extrude oil, grease, DC4® compound, or similar liquid lubricants from between a filter’s rubber seal and the filter mount pad – leaving the filter seemingly “bonded” to your Grumman engine’s mount pad – and making it nearly impossible to remove.

Tempest’s proprietary SPIN EZ adhered solid seal lubricant stays where it should – between the seal and the mount pad’s surface. SPIN EZ solid lubricant won’t extrude or squirt from under the seal. It prevents the bond-forming environment that makes legacy filters stick.

Unfortunately, Tempest can no longer procure this proprietary magnet due to supply chain disruptions. That feature will no longer be available. All other components and filtration quality you trust from Tempest® SPIN EZ® spin-on oil filters remain unchanged.

Grumman Parts Shipping Policy

All orders are shipped within 48 hours Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.

Order Tracking

If a tracking # is provided by the shipping carrier, we will update your order with the tracking information. Please note that some orders using 1st Class USPS mail will not have tracking numbers.

Shipping Rates

The rate charged for the shipping of your order is based on the size and weight of your products, and your location. Before the final checkout page, you will be shown what the cost of shipping will be, and you will have a chance to not place your order if you decide not to.

Back Orders

If an item goes on back order we will ship you the part of your order that is in stock. When the item becomes available we will ship you the rest of your order. You will not be charged any additional shipping and handling for the second shipment.

Vendors on Grumman Parts Individual Refund Policies supersede this policy!

Parts may be returned for a refund if we or a vendor ships the wrong part or it is not as represented within 15 days.

If you ordered the wrong part or decided not to install it, a coupon, less a 10% restocking fee of the retail price of the product may be issued within 30 days, provided the product is returned in the unused, same condition. Trio auto-pilots and uAvionics products require recertification.  Restocking on Trio and uAvionix products is 15%. All return shipping and freight are the responsibility of the purchaser.
