Description
Grumman Ignition Harnesses | Kelly Aero
AIRCRAFT IGNITION HARNESS & LEADS
Unique Spring Design:
Kelly Aero aircraft engine ignition harnesses incorporate a negative-pitch spring design (the coil spring tip extends inward), allowing the coil spring tip to lie flat against the spark plug electrode, providing 360º contact. Ignition energy is maximized, and flashover is reduced to a minimum.
Replaceable Contact Springs:
Replacement springs are available separately, saving you time and money when a field repair is necessary.
Plated Steel Nut:
Steel nuts offer superior strength to aluminum nuts and reduce the potential for galling during installation.
Performance – Plus:
Using a tinned-copper, nickel-plated braid shielding substantially reduces EMI and, combined with a very flexible 19-strand conductor of stainless steel wire, provides the ultimate in wire conductivity and ease of installation.
Straight & 90 Degree Steel Elbow Leads Available:
Steel nuts offer superior strength to aluminum nuts and reduce the potential for galling during installation.
Abrasion and Heat Resistant:
The abrasion-resistant red polymer cover has been engineered specifically for the high-temperature environment of reciprocating engines.
- Over 100 years of aviation ignition manufacturing experience
- All manufacturing and customer service based in the USA
- Heat-resistant polymer coating specifically engineered for high temperatures.
- Coiled center wire for greater flexibility, eliminating the need for old-style elbows
- Flexible, 16-strand silicone-impregnated scuff-resistant braid significantly reduces EMI.
- Heavy-gauge contact spring for greater contact force, reducing the chance of flashover
- It is entirely repairable, and all pieces are independently available through distribution.
