Introducing the PA32 Certified Trio Pro-Pilot 2 Axis Autopilot for Piper Aircraft!
The ProPilot is a two-axis autopilot designed for precise GPSS steering, horizontal and vertical navigation with altitude control. It is FAA certified by the STC Group for Piper PA32 Straight Tail Aircraft. The Trio Certified autopilot offers all of the performance and advanced safety features expected from digital autopilots and makes them available in a single, panel-mounted instrument.
The Trio Pro-pilot is a Full-featured digital autopilot STC and installation kit for your Piper PA-32-260, PA-32-300, PA-32S-300, PA-32R-300
The system features back-lighted buttons and faceplate nomenclature as part of a pleasing new industrial design, with the wiring harness, installation hardware, and 2 servos specifically designed for the PA32 Series Piper Aircraft.
Navigational Capabilities
The Trio Pro Pilot provides excellent horizontal navigation capabilities and the vertical navigation provides altitude control, climb/descent functions with airspeed limiting, and altitude pre-select. Climb/descent on airspeed is also included.
Gold Standard Autopilot Servos
The Pro Pilot uses Trio's proven "intelligent" Gold Standard servos to assure safe and reliable control actuation.
Ease of Operation
While the Pro Pilot incorporates many features, it is very simple to operate. Just press the H NAV button and it will track your flight plan. Press the V NAV button and it will hold your current altitude. It will also fly GPS-driven flight plans and approaches including a GPS vertical flight path with IFR-approved GPS.
Mounting Options
The Pro Pilot is available in two models - instrument mount and rack mount. Both models feature backlit nomenclature and bright LED indicators.

GPSS (GPS Steering):
If your Piper GPS receiver or EFIS system provides GPSS commands, usually via an ARINC 429 data output the Trio autopilot can follow your entire flight plan including turns to new headings. In this case, the Pro Pilot will no longer rely upon its own navigation functions but will follow the roll commands coming from the GPS or EFIS for guidance.
Add GPSV (GPS Vertical Steering) IFR Approach Capability to your Piper Cherokee 6.
With WAAS approaches in widespread use, it is now possible to do precision approaches in your Cherokee 6 using approved GPS systems. The GPSV option allows the Pro Pilot to follow the pitch steering commands that are provided by your IFR-approved panel-mounted WAAS GPS receiver or EFIS system for the descent into an airport.
The GPSV feature also allows the autopilot to follow the vertical bug on a compatible EFIS system that may be installed on your Piper PA32 series.
